Beth Lohman | General Manager
Beth has been in the industry for over 22 years, and has been an avid skier since the age of 2. She’s had many Experiences of a Lifetime over the course of her career with Vail Resorts, but the one that really stands out for her is getting First Tracks off the T-Bar on Breck’s opening day in 2010 with Pat Campbell and Rob Katz. It was an epic powder day, and she yard-saled it in front of them both! Being given the opportunity to come and lead the team at Mt. Brighton is also a highlight for her, and she is passionate about the passion the entire Mt. Brighton team brings to work every day, and the amazing effect that has on our guests’ experience. Outside of work, Beth enjoys spending time at Walloon Lake with her husband Eric, and raising their newborn Yellow Lab puppy Brook. Each of the Vail Resorts’ values resonates strongly with Beth, but the one she is leaning into the most these days is Serve Others. She strives to serve and support the Mt. Brighton team so that we can provide our guests with their Experience of a Lifetime.

Spike is most passionate about Mt. Brighton’s grooming and providing guests with the best snow surface possible – which is why he best identifies with the Vail Resorts’ value of Serve Others. Outside of work, Spike enjoys all types of motor sports and fishing. He would love to learn to fly fish. Spike’s Experience of a Lifetime at Mt. Brighton was the first time he was allowed to operate a groomer.
Bill Snyder | Resort Operations Manager
Bill has been working at Mt. Brighton for nearly 30 years and has been an avid snowboarder here since the mid-80s. Bill’s Experience of a Lifetime was marrying his lovely bride at the top of Sky Express at Heavenly Mountain Resort – It was an amazing bluebird day that was attended by numerous Mt. Brighton instructors and family! Outside of work, Bill enjoys spending time with his spouse, Jen, raising their two up and coming little groms, Liam and Brecken. While everyone would say that Have Fun comes most naturally to Bill, the Vail value that is always at the forefront for him is Serve Others. Bill strives to serve all of our staff so that the team at Mt. Brighton can provide our guests with an Experience of a Lifetime.
Mike Waning | Ski & Snowboard School Manager
Mike has been in the ski industry for 33 years all within the ski school. He has had a number of Experiences of a Lifetime during his career with Vail Resorts. The one that is most memorable for him was at Breckenridge while working on the Kids on Lift video. National Team tryouts were going on during that time and Mike was able to spend some time on the hill with the participants. He enjoyed hearing several of his colleague’s names announced as members to the new team. Mike has a very deep passion not only for winter sports but also for the team that he works with. Each and every team member is there to give the guest an Experience of a Lifetime. Mike and his girlfriend, Louise, enjoy many outdoor activities, from sailing on his Hobie Cat 16 to riding single tracks on their mountain bikes. Mike also enjoys spending time with his son, Thomas, attending baseball games. The Vail Resorts’ value one that stands out the most for him is Have Fun. He and his teamwork hard to make sure every guest has fun while participating in their lesson.
Alicia Dunlap | Food & Beverage Manager

Outside of work she loves cooking, any activity involving lakes, and having fun with her two hooligan daughters. Integrity is the strongest foundation, and details do matter.
Heidi Swartzloff | Marketing Manager
Heidi has been in the ski industry for two years (three if you count the year as a Vail Mountain lift operator in 2008!), and has loved skiing since early childhood. An Experience of a Lifetime she’s had working with Vail Resorts was during a marketing photo shoot in 2018. She got to strap her skis on in the early morning hours and watch the sunrise over the chairlift at the top of Chair 5. It was a beautiful morning and a welcome reminder of how lucky she is to work in this industry! As someone who found her love for skiing by straight-lining down a small Michigan ski hill, she is passionate about helping new skiers and snowboarders in the Midwest discover their own passion for the sport and build a lifelong connection to winter activities. Outside of work, Heidi spends time with her husband and dogs, loves to hike and explore the outdoors, and is currently preparing for a new addition to her family. The value that resonates with her the most is Have Fun! While all of the Vail Resorts’ values are important pieces of our daily life, Have Fun is the value that keeps her creative juices flowing and reminds her why she loves working for Vail Resorts.

As a professional, Liz has worked at Mt Brighton since 2016 in the Human Resources function. An Experience of a Lifetime for her was sharing the passion of winter sports with her family when snow tubing at more than 60 miles per hour down the slopes at Wilmot Mountain. Liz is passionate about creating Experiences of a Lifetime for our employees so that they can in turn create Experiences of a Lifetime for our guests. Liz leads the Employee Experience (EEX) Manager function at Mt. Brighton and oversees EEX Coordinators in Afton Alps and at Wilmot Mountain.
